Freedom Resounding Everything, Everywhere

Even though the United States of Amercia has many problems of our own, other countries have even more pressing matters that need to be dealt with.

Each year, nearly 12,000 Nepali girls are sold by their families, intentionally or unwittingly, into a life of sexual slavery in the brothels of India. Worldwide, the U.S. State Department estimates that nearly half a million children are trafficked into the sex trade annually.

That was taken directly from the Author's Note in the back of the novel Sold, by Patricia McCormick.

Those numbers are startling. And wrong. How would you feel if your friend, sister, niece, mother, cousin, aunt, ANYONE you know, was forced to have sex with a complete stranger? Girls who are forced to live in brothels do not own, or live, their own life.

FREE's mission is to drastically lower those numbers, if not go all the way to wipe those numbers away.
